Rare Vinyl Kreator ‎Pleasure To Kill 1986

Pleasure to Kill is the second studio album by German thrash metal band Kreator, released in April 1986 by Noise Records. Pleasure to Kill is widely considered a thrash metal classic, as well as a landmark album in the history of thrash metal along with Master of Puppets by Metallica, Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying? By Megadeth, Reign in Blood by Slayer, Eternal Devastation by Destruction and Darkness Descends by Dark Angel, all released in 1986.

The album played a considerable role in the development of many extreme metal subgenres, and many death metal bands cite the record as an influence. The lyrical themes follow those found on their first album Endless Pain, containing descriptions of horrible scenes of death and horror. (Source: Wikipeadia)

ONSLAUGHT – Power From Hell LP 1985 (Combat Records)

ONSLAUGHT VS POSSESSED – WHO INVENTED THE TERM “DEATH METAL”?

UK-based thrash metal band Onslaught original release “Power From Hell” had a hard-core punk sound as compared to their follow-up in 1987 “The Force“. this was mainly due to the more guttural vocal sound of original singer Paul Mahoney. In late 1985, Paul Mahoney was replaced by Sy Keeler joined the band as the new lead singer. The released “The Force” in 1986. The band has a much more Slayer-influenced sound than the early Discharge sounding material.

ONSLAUGHT IS A METAL BAND THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER

Sy Keeler’s vocal style was more akin to Rob Alford — a typical high-pitched 80’s singing style popular in 1985. That is why fans and critics alike consider “Power from Hell” to be superior to any of the band subsequent work band’s subsequent work.

The Death Metal Controversy

The Power From Hell LP was released in February 1985. It is disputed whether Onslaught or Possessed (San Fransisco) coined the term “Death Metal.” Onslaught had a demo ‘Death Metal’ in 1984, Possessed has a song of the same name a Seven Churches.

Reunion In 2006

In 2005 the band reformed and continues to release albums and play shows sporadically, mostly at metal festivals in Europe

The 12 Best Funny Heavy Metal MEMES Of All Time

black metal Olympics heavy metal meme

It’s time to lighten the mood on this blog while still keeping it heavy! I’m talking about heavy-metal MEMES! Here are the top 12 that we know of right now! This post is constantly updated with the MEME pictures, so check back once in a while!!

Like Funny Metal MEMES? Let’s get started at #1…

1. The Cannibal Corpse MEME

You have to have somewhat of a morbid sense of humor I truly appreciate that one, but it gave me a laugh!

Next up?

2. Death Metal Dating

death metal dating meme

Heavy metal isn’t known for hot chicks. I can understand how dating some girl who claims to like death metal is: I’ve been there before. LOL

3, Marry Had A Little Lamb?

4. The Black Sabbath MEME

Black Sabbath heavy metal meme

While far from being in an unknown band, Black Sabbath never got the level of respect that the Beatles had for Led Zeppelin as British rock royalty.

I doubt they care!

5. The Faces of Death Metal MEME

faces of black metal heavy metal meme

On this one, you have to understand the reference. It is a lampoon on the documentary “Faces Of Meth” which chronicles what people look like before and after methamphetamine use. As you can see, death metal is a gateway drug to court paint and just for a less harmless.

6. Death Metal Gardening

Death Metal Gardening MEME

7. Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King at McDonald’s

It’s a classic metal meme with Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King chomping some burgers before a show. You may be metal, but not half as much Slayer’s guitar team.

8. Heavy Metal Politics Meme

9. Vic Rattlehead vs 5 Finger Fruitpunch

10. The Metallica “St. Anger Drum Sound” MEME

11. King Diamond Nuns Have No Fun

12. Megadeth Fans vs. Metallica Fans vs. Iron Maiden Fans

I had to include this one just because you know it is true!!

That’s All For Now

Sometimes, it’s tough to be brutal when your mom wants you to work in the yard! You might smear your corpse paint!

That’s all for now; check back later when we publish our next list.

War and Pain is the debut album from Canada’s Voivod. It was released on August 1984 on Metal Blade Records. War and Pain had a much rawer punky sound than what would later characterize their later period progressive metal output. According to a 1986 TV interview – it sold over 40,000 copies within two years of its release.

Eternal Devastation is the second full-length album by German thrash metal band Destruction. It was released in 1986. It showed the band had moved away from their previous black metal-influenced style of material evident on the Sentence of Death EP and Infernal Overkill albums, and were headed in the direction of a more contemporary thrash metal style. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SACRED RIECH? PHIL RIND DOESN’T WANT RIGHT OF CENTER FANS!

2 Sacred Reich Phil Rind in picture

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SACRED RIECH? LET’S FIND OUT.

If you are a Sacred Reich fan (like I am) then you already know the quintessential album is Ignorance. If fact. while we are at it, let’s get that one quick spin. My favorite song is “Death Squad: (especially the first riff) classic thrash metal!

  • Sacred Reich still tours in 2019
  • Phil Rind and Whiley are the only 2 original members
  • In 2019 the band fired longtime drummer Greg Hall.
  • Former drummer Greg McCain is in Machine Head
  • Sacred Riech is still sighed to Metal Blade Record
  • In 2020 Phil Rind blast all Trump supporters and demanded that all people that are right of center should stop liking his band –

“If you are part of the Trump cult feel free to unfollow. We couldn’t give a fuck.

“If you can’t see the white supremacy that permeates this country I suggest you open your eyes and take a hard look. Read the book ‘White Fragility’. But if you dont see it, it’s probably because you don’t want to. Maybe you should go listen to ‘One Nation’.”

He added in a follow-up message: “If you can’t see the difference between BLACK LIVES MATTER standing up for unarmed black people being shot by police for decades across this country and armed white nationalist domestic terrorists storming the Capitol to stop an election in support of a dumb, racist, lying President then by all means UNFOLLOW, UNLIKE, DON’T SUPPORT…WHATEVER.

Album Art From Follow Up EP Surf Nicurauga

Listen To The Full Ignorance Album

SURF NICARAGUA was all in all a decent album. It came out October 4, 1988 on Metal Blade. The EP. THE ALBUM contains a cover version of the Black Sabbath’s, “War Pigs”, which also appeared on the band’s next EP, Alive at the Dynamo in 1989, in live form. The song “Surf Nicaragua” contains a part from the song “Wipe Out” as well as the drum part from the Hawaii 5-0 theme song. The live tracks “Ignorance” and “Death Squad” were only supposed to be on the CD version, but due to a pressing error, they appeared on all formats. (Source: Wikipedia)
