War and Pain is the debut album from Canada’s Voivod. It was released on August 1984 on Metal Blade Records. War and Pain had a much rawer punky sound than what would later characterize their later period progressive metal output. According to a 1986 TV interview – it sold over 40,000 copies within two years of its release.
