Macabre (Metal Band) Vs Jeffery Dahmer” – Who Is More Nuts?

macabre band metal thrash

Macabre: Another Great Metal Band That Should Have Been HUGE!

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to catch Macabre live this post will make total sense. I’ve played with them live them on several occasions over the years and can attest: THEY RULE! Macabre that started in 1985 IN Chicago, never gained widespread notoriety or even a proper record deal, but they were amazing. Here are a few facts you might now know:

  • Macabre started in 1985 by 3 childhood friends. The band has been the same line-up since 1985 – Nefarious, Dennis the Menace, and Corporate Death.
  • Corporate Death (Lance Lencioni) plays a 7 string guitar on most songs, contributing to the bands ominous sound.
  • Corporate Death (Lance Lencioni) can name the number of kills, years active, and even the names of the victims of most prolific serial killers.
  • Dahmer (the bands most successful album) is a chronological account of Jeffry Dahmers like, murders and death.
  • Christopher J. Scarver killed Jeffery Dahmer in prison with a toilet seat.
  • Dennis the Menace earned his nickname by how hyperactively he bashes the drums.
  • The band has an acoustic album call Mistrals. It is very rare and out of print. Pick it up if you can find it. The CD is out of print, extremely rare and is awesome!
  • Although Macabre deals with some morbid subject matter, they maintain a sense of humor throughout. This humorous approach adds levity to the music.
