Odium – The Sad Realm of the Stars (2023 CD reissue, Osmose Productions – OPCS489) – A cult Norwegian symphonic black metal album originally released in 1998 on Nocturnal Art Productions. This majestic one-and-done release from the Drammen band blends icy, atmospheric black metal with grand keyboard-driven melodies, cosmic/void-themed lyrics, and a dramatic, epic sound reminiscent of early Emperor and Limbonic Art. Highly regarded as an overlooked gem of the late ’90s symphonic black metal scene. Brand new 2023 Osmose reissue.
