Devastation is a Thrash metal band formed in 1986 in Corpus Christi, TX, USA. They put out 3 CDS and broke up by the 1990s due to lackluster label support. “Signs Of Life” and “Idolatry” are 2 often missed thrash metal classics that never propelled the band off of the obscure metal list. Their sound is very Dark Angel influenced, but the lyrics don’t dwell on the typical Satan influenced type popular at the time. That said, Devastation is not a Christian Thrash metal band they just took a different approach, that while original, may. have cost them fans at the time.
