People often ask me if I can buy record collections in Europe and the answer is “Yes, I Can.” This is a small collection of just 20 albums I brought from a collector in Europe and consists of the following:

While doing deals in Europe is slightly more complex than domestic deal they can be done all the same. The last few have been done by email only. This buy stated simply from the guy sending me the list above and this message, “Hi Jason, I’m in the UK and have a number of albums I am looking to sell. Please get in touch so we can discuss what I have to sell.”
The original owner sent me the photos below and I paid him via Paypal.
I bought This killer super-rare vinyl collection from a guy in Europe. The original owner contacted me through my blog, and we exchanged emails over a few weeks. It took a bit to get comfortable wiring thousands of dollars overseas to someone I didn’t know, but I always buy heavy metal records and CD collections, and I’ve never had an issue.
The embedded video is a walkthrough of everything included in this epic thrash metal collection, which consists of 177 albums. Included, were about 15 of them were non-thrash guitar nerd albums, so I removed them to stick to the thrash for this video.

Photo Gallery
Below is a photo gallery of some of the standouts, although most of them were pretty epic. The vinyl was at worst VG+, and quite a bit is EX / NM. The original owner stored all these albums in protective sleeves, so the album jacket quality is impressive, with 95% being VG+ to NM.
Unboxing Video
We filmed this video as I unboxed the album collection for the first time when it first arrived from Belgium.
So much suspense!
List Of Titles
I had a good idea of what titles were included in this collection, although to be honest, I was not 100% sure either! The original owner never compiled a list. He hand-wrote lists of the titles in this collection of paper and then emailed me photos. (see below)
After Iced Earth guitarist/songwriter Jon Schaffer was arrested for participating in the 1/6/2021 storming of the U.S. Capitol, he seems to have been dropped from the Century Media roster. All mentions of Iced Earth / Demon & Wizards are now removed from the Century Media artist roster. While the label hasn’t said anything publicly, it’s pretty clear what has happened. Ariel Pink was dropped this week from Mexican Summer records for attending the Trump’s rally, but not participating in the capitol building’s storming.
Schaffer faces six charges including:
Engaging in the act of physical violence in a Capitol building,
Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority,
Disrupting the orderly conduct of government business,
Violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building,
Engaging in an act of physical violence in a Capitol building, and
Demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
Allegedly, he was brandishing bear mace which was used against capitol police.
Members of Iced Earth are distancing themselves from Schaffer. They posted on Instagram to denounce the raid on the capitol:
“We want to thank those of you who have sent words of support in recent days,” they wrote on Sunday (Jan. 10) in a post shared on bassist Luke Appleton and singer Stu Block’s Instagram pages. “Some of you have been concerned by our silence, which we understand. We needed some time to properly process the information and find out some facts before we made a statement.”
Regardless of where you stand on this debate, it seems Jon Schaffer has been canceled!
Iced Earth guitar player/founder/songwriter Jon Schaffer was among the mob of Trump supporters who stormed the US Capitol in Washington DC, yesterday, January 6.
In a photo from Roberto Schmidt of the AFP agency, Schaffer is among a group of rioters who pushed past police and into the Capitol building.
Back in November, Schaffer was interviewed and said, “They will go down. They’re messing with the wrong people, believe me…If someone uses violence against us, we will react accordingly. Schaffer expressed his distrust of the US government, stating he was neither “a left-or-right guy.”
“I’m an American – that’s my country, that’s where I live,” he said. “I don’t trust my government. I don’t give a shit if it’s an ‘R’ or a ‘D’ next to the person’s name. I try to understand the bigger picture. I’ve done a lot of reading and a lot of studying. I’m a man of my convictions, and I don’t say things I don’t truly believe.”
He continued, “You can’t put your hope into one president or one person, or a mayor or a governor or whatever. You’ve gotta be out there and actively put pressure on these people, let ’em know you’re paying attention. If you’re not paying attention, they’ll rob you and steal everything. Your freedom, too. Not just your money. They’re gonna steal your fucking freedom. ‘Cause, they’re a bunch of sick control freaks.”
This list is compiled from CDs acquired while buying metal CD collections in the year 2020. It is by no means a comprehensive list of every metal CD out there; these are just ones we have first-hand experience with. The values we had assigned are based on what we have sold them for and are not an aggregate.
1. Urn – 666 Megatons CD 2006 No Sign Of Life – NSOL001
Urn – 666 Megatons CD 2006 No Sign Of Life – NSOL00 – the special edition from this Finish thrash/black metal band that includes the DVD is RARE. Urn was a cool proto-Black Metal sound similar to “Show NoMercy” era Slayer – the full edition, which includes a live DVD, is almost impossible to find and goes for north of 100 bucks on a regular basis.
Sold 10/1 $159.00
2. The Black – The Priest Of Satan CD 1994 Necropolis Records NR 003
The Black – The Priest Of Satan CD 1994 Necropolis Records NR 003 – This CD has been re-issued several times, including more recently on Osmose Productions – if you can find the original on Necropolis Records, it can be worth a pretty penny.
Sold 9/11 $99.95
3. Swans – Swans Are Dead CD 1998 Young God Records – YG03
Swans – Swans Are Dead CD 1998 Young God Records – YG03 – Although The Swans are not technically a metal band, it is quite common to see their brand of gothic rock turning up in the collections we buy. The original pressing of their CDs is very hard to come by, and reissues aren’t that common either, making almost every CD in their catalog quite valuable.
Sold 8/8 – $79.95
4. Ingested – The Surreption CD 2012 Siege of Amida Records
Ingested – The Surreption CD 2012 Siege of Amida Records – I will be honest: when I first saw this one, I thought it might be a fluke, but upon some investigation, copies of those are really scarce and sell for north of $100 on Discogs on a monthly basis. It is also worth noting that Ingested sounds like a $99 per CD band; they play some ridiculously tight technical death metal and are one of my new favorites.
Sold 12/29 – $99.95
5. Xibalba – Ah Dzam Poop Ek CD 2005 Guttural Records – CDGR002
Xibalba – Ah Dzam Poop Ek CD 2005 Guttural Records – CDGR002 Mexico – the original pricing from Mexico only lists eight tracks; there are later reissues, but if you can find the first one, it is quite valuable.
Sold 7/11 – $74.99
6. Baphomet – Death In The Beginning CD 2012 Sevared Records – SR-216 $74.95
Baphomet – Death In The Beginning CD 2012 Sevared Records – SR-216 – Includes the advance tape from 1990. Many songs were subsequently renamed, including the “Boiled in Blood” live 7″ as a bonus.
Sold 9/10 – $74.95
7. Devourment – Molesting The Decapitated CD 1999 United Guttural UGR 005
Devourment – Molesting The Decapitated CD 1999 United Guttural UGR 005 – I was actually surprised that this one didn’t sell for more; this is the original version of this death metal classic from this brutal Texas-based outfit. Beware, there are many bootlegs floating around of this release.
Sold 8/9 $74.95
8. Suffocation – Effigy of the Forgotten/Pierced from Within CD 2003 Roadrunner
Suffocation – Effigy of the Forgotten/Pierced from Within 2x CD 2003 Roadrunner (2 From The Vault Series) – almost all of the CDs from Roadrunner’s discontinued “2 From The Vault” series fetch a pretty penny. Some other big ones to look for are Obituary and Exhorder.
Sold 7/7 – $74.95
9. Ancient Wisdom – For Snow Covered The Northland CD 1996 Avantgarde Music
Ancient Wisdom – For Snow Covered The Northland CD 1996 Avantgarde Music – This CD from an obscure but extremely talented Italian progressive black metal band is extremely hard to find, not to mention the music is amazing. These guys should’ve been much bigger!
Sold 6/6/ – $69.95
10. Amebix – No Sanctuary: The Spiderleg Recordings CD 2008 Revolver USA
Amebix – No Sanctuary: The Spiderleg Recordings CD [Digipak] 2008 Revolver USA – Although this one might fall more into the crust punk genre, Ambix is still quite popular among the metal crown. This gym was in wider distribution on Alternative Tentacles, but if you can find the original, it’s worth quite a bit.
The Arcturus “Constellation” was released in a very limed run of just 500 copies in 1997. The first 500 copies are hand-numbered, and includes a black and white poster. The first pressing copies of this album are very rare and go for north of $300 on Discogs. From time to time, you can pick up a copy on eBay, but not often.
Arcturus’s style is quite different from most Noweiegen black metal bands. It includes elements of power metal, has some early keyboard/symphonic influences. This release featured Garm on vocals and Samoth on guitar, which was the line-up that recorded the “Constellation” mini-album. It was released on Nocturnal Art Productions in 1994. Samoth left the band in 1995 after an arrest for church burnings. Here is a selection from Youtube…

Black Message is an unofficial bootleg release that came out in 1986 on a German label. The first version of the album had a white label with no writing or information on it. Because of the unofficial nature of this release, it is blocked for sale on Discogs. You can find it on eBay and it usually costs around $400 for the black version. There is also a multicolor swirl version that was released in 1986. It usually sells for a higher price — but collectors like the black version better because it comes with a real sleeve.

There are five other pressings (4 in 1987 and one more in 2011). The country of origin of the first pressing is not known, although later pressings are believed to have originated in France. The album has no writing on the label, and it’s just a blank white label, as can be seen below.
